What a month! I've been busy with birthday parties, mini-vacation and being a den escort for my son's Cub Scout Camp. I'm just coming back to reality and realizing that I've been neglecting myself and my little blog. What else is new, right?
Anyway, the search for a trainer continues. I did meet with the trainer as I said in my last post. He was terrific! I hurt for days - just as it should be! Loved it! I have one more meeting with him this week but sadly that will be all. Unfortunately it's like having another mortgage payment! The price is something like 1700$ for 20 sessions. It would take me nearly 6 weeks to get through 20 sessions! I can't keep that kind of funds up!
I called another place in town and have been back-and-forth on the email with the trainer there. She is a bit cheaper, but there is just no way I can sustain life with spending huge amounts of money on training.
Fear not though! I have a third (potential) option! My neighbor has been working with a man who runs a local boot camp. She said he does do some personal training so I contacted him to see what he has to offer. He finally got back to me saying he is a bit nervous about taking me on only because he's having surgery in six weeks and doesn't know how long he's going to be "down" for. Anyway, we are trying to work something out on that end so hopefully I will have a trainer soon!
I'm also looking for a gym. I don't want to spend a ton of money (clearly) and I don't want to feel like a whale in a meat market. I know that's harsh on myself, but it's how I feel. I did the whole being made fun of thing in one gym and just don't want to have that happen again! So, the search continues. I was told about a little gym that I completely forgot about today; I'll give them a call tomorrow.
I'm working on it. I'm going to get right back onto plan and am setting my goal at 45 pounds gone by Christmas. The only way that will happen though is if I get my butt back into the gym! My plan for that is my little guy is starting preschool soon so I'll have 3 hours of ME time...that will be time spent in the gym! OK, maybe not the whole 3 hours, but I will certainly work back up to my 90 minute sessions! If I can do that and have training a few days a week, I'll be right back to where I was (and less) by Christmas!
